MYM International (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) hereby establishes this Privacy Policy to ensure the proper handling of personal data in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (Act No. 57 of 2003; hereinafter the “APPI”).

2. Compliance with Applicable Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines

The Company handles personal data appropriately in compliance with the APPI, other relevant laws and regulations, and all guidelines issued by the Personal Information Protection Commission and other authorities.

3. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information

When acquiring personal information, the Company will publicly announce or notify the purpose of use (including disclosure through this Privacy Policy).
When acquiring personal information directly from individuals through contracts, documents, or electronic records, the Company will clearly indicate the purpose of use in advance and obtain information through lawful and fair means.

The Company uses personal information only to the extent necessary to achieve the stated purposes.

4. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

The Company uses personal information for the following purposes:

    • To detect users who violate the Terms of Use, notify such users, and investigate, detect, prevent, and respond to fraudulent activities such as unauthorized access or fraud

    (Note 1) The Company may analyze website browsing history, purchase history, and other information obtained from customers to provide the Services or deliver advertisements.

    (Note 2) The Company may combine customer preference information or browsing history—obtained from third parties—with personal information already held by the Company. In such cases, customer consent will be obtained in advance, and the information will be used only within the scope of the purposes above.

    (Note 3 Cookies) The Company uses cookies to store and manage information about customers using the Company’s website, enabling more convenient browsing.

    (Note 4 Google Analytics) The Company uses Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to understand how customers use the website.
    Google collects, records, and analyzes customer visit data based on cookies issued by the Company. This data does not include information that identifies individual customers.
    Information collected by Google Analytics is managed under Google’s Privacy Policy.
    Customers may disable Google Analytics by installing the opt-out browser add-on provided by Google.

  • (2) Personal information of business partners (including officers and employees of corporate clients)

    • For necessary business communication, contract execution, and commercial discussions
    • For management of business partner information
  • (3) Personal information of shareholders (including officers and employees of corporate shareholders)

    • For exercising rights and fulfilling obligations under the Companies Act
    • For maintaining records and managing shareholder information in accordance with laws and regulations
  • (4) Personal information of job applicants

    • For communication, information provision, and other activities necessary for recruitment
  • (5) Personal information of employees

    • For salary payments (wages, bonuses, allowances), and HR and labor management, including benefits administration

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties unless one of the following applies:

  • Customer consent has been obtained
  • Provision is necessary for providing the Services to customers, including to EC platform service providers and other third parties (including overseas third parties)
  • Provision to external service providers (including overseas third parties) is necessary for integration or authentication with services such as Yahoo, Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.
  • Provision to advertising service providers (including overseas providers) in hashed or otherwise non-identifiable formats for delivering more relevant advertisements

  • When required by law
  • When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and obtaining consent is difficult
  • When necessary for public health or the sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult
  • When cooperation with national or local authorities is required, and obtaining consent may hinder the execution of legally prescribed duties

6. Security Control Measures

The Company implements necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal data and supervises employees and contractors handling such data.

Specific measures include:

    Including compliance with relevant laws and establishing points of contact for inquiries and complaints.

    * Clarifying the scope of employees handling personal data

Upon request from the individual, and after verifying their identity, the Company will promptly respond to requests for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, or other actions concerning personal information.
